NYS Matching Grants Leverage Program

NYSTAR reviews and coordinates requests for New York State matching grants and support letters to strengthen applicants’ proposals to federal agencies, foundations, and other grant-making organizations. The purpose of this program is to attract more federal R&D funding to support technology development and commercialization efforts in New York State.

While funding is available, NYSTAR will accept applications monthly with a submission deadline of the 20th. The first Round will have a deadline for application submission of January 20, 2022.

I-Corps at NIH is an experience-based program designed specifically for small biotech businesses. Through this 8-week program, you will learn how to build a strong business model that could help bring your technology to patients.

DepYmed, a joint venture of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and New York City-based biotech Ohr Pharmaceutical led by Andreas Grill, has received $100,000 from Accelerate Long Island and the Long Island Emerging Technologies Fund. Andreas Grill has served as a BioEntrepreneur-in-Residence for the center for Biotechnology and DepYmed is developing a new drug called Trodusquemine that it hopes will one day treat HER2-positive breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease.
