We work to catalyze and support the development of bioscience innovations in order to have a positive impact on human health and society. To accomplish such a bold mission, we have developed a comprehensive and multi-faceted strategy, one focused on the whole continuum of advancing a scientific innovation into a business reality.

With over thirty years of experience, the Center for Biotechnology has and will continue to have, a significant impact bridging the gap between basic scientific research and commercial application.

As a matter of practice, the Center for Biotechnology prefers to engage and support industry clients through the exchange of non-confidential information and documents whenever possible. Furthermore, disclosure of non-public, export-controlled technology or technical data to Stony Brook University (SBU) faculty, staff or students that are non-U.S. persons may require a U.S. federal agency authorization. Companies are responsible for determining, and if necessary securing, the appropriate authorizations prior to sharing any non-public, export-controlled technology or technical data with SBU.
