SBDC SBIR/STTR Summer Workshop
The Small Business Development Center at Stony Brook University is announcing a free SBIR and STTR Federal Grant Program Writing Clinic and Workshop. This workshop will both provide general best practice information on SBIR and STTR Phase I and Phase II grant applications, and company specific feedback and guidance. It will provide practical guidance on how to become prepared to submit a competitive grant application, improve existing applications, and position your company for future applications.
The workshop will be conducted across the dates August 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2017. It will be given by Sharon Ballard, the CEO of Enable Ventures, Inc., a nationally recognized expert in SBIR and STTR grants. It will involve both group educational sessions and direct consultation to the company / principal investigator / inventor.
Because of the specialized nature of the workshop and direct interaction with the speaker(s) there is limited capacity and registration will be competitive. Registration applications must be submitted no later than July 14th, 2017 to be considered. Applicants will be reviewed and considered by a committee on a first-come, first-served basis.
In order to participate in the clinic you must also become an SBDC client, which is free and confidential. SBIR/STTR Workshop Registration Applications can be obtained and must be submitted to SBDC@stonybrook.edu, along with any questions or special requirements.
